During the last five years nearly 250 students have spent thousands of hours designing and building ELFIN, more formally the Electron Losses and Fields Investigation CubeSat. This loaf-of-bread-sized small satellite will investigate space weather, an area of space science of growing importance as the world requires ever more satellites and other space-based technology solutions.
